The vision of the Blockchain team of Joysworth Software Solutions was to develop a product to transform the way the food and beverage industry operates. The success stories of Hyperledger Fabric resulted in its adoption to enable bringing the open-source ecosystem to the forefront of this technology. We wanted to build something that made a difference, and yet simple to adapt to fill the gaps in the existing food supply chain systems.

We wanted to build something that made a difference yet was simple to adapt to fill the gaps in the existing food supply chain systems. Farm2Plate is a Platform-As-A-Service providing a collaborative environment to all the participants in a single supply-chain network to streamline their food supply chain activities; instead of using separate ERPs. This system (DLT network, Mobile responsive web application, and off-chain DB) can accommodate 3 to 15 organizations’ supply chain information.
Farm2Plate allows a participant to:
– Track all their shipments in real-time
– Do a product recall in case of product expiry
– Help the consumer to have end-to-end information on the consumption of a product
– Enables micro-tipping for the farmers who are participating in the supply chain.
