IDEA
MaidHub is a technologically enabled platform where domestic service providers register themselves. Clients are generating their job requirements by submitting online details. The back-end team is doing assessments of the service providers and coordinating with the clients to deploy service providers at the client’s site and offer long-term employment assistance to the service providers.
Our new platform, which is specially designed to meet the needs of home-based service providers, offers a platform for domestic service providers, personal service providers, and professional service providers. It will offer technology aid to the clients while applying location-wise, cost-wise and skill-set-wise searches to get the service provider’s profile. Clients can easily book the services and consume them from the new platform. Service providers’ profiles generation, applying filters to get actual profiles as well as booking and service experience, all operational parts will be completed here in auto mode.
PASSION
Mr. Satish Parimal has done his Master of Social Work. He has 10 years of experience in the HR domain. While working with the organised sector, he found so many employment generation platforms for the organised workers, but he didn’t find any established platforms that were providing long-term employment opportunities to the unorganised sector workers. He strongly believes that such a corporate platform is essential for providing long-term employment opportunities, institutional support, and statutory benefits to such a large underprivileged segment of society.
In this way, the need for mass population has forced us to create the MaidHub platform.
How We Started
In October 2015, we began working with organised sector employment.
After spending time on the organised sector, we started working on the unorganised sector’s employment in August 2016. We closed our first deal in August 2016 by providing our first domestic staff.
After a successful first deployment, it’s started to get service providers’ job requirements as well as clients’ requirements. In 2017, we established our proprietorship firm to handle domestic staffing operations.
In the last 5 years, we have shifted our focus from an organised sector employment platform to an unorganised sector empowerment platform. In December 2019, we formed our own private limited entity to deal with such a large community of unorganised workers and offer the bulk of empowerment opportunities for unorganised sector manpower. We started our franchise operation in Maharashtra and have experienced good growth in the last few years.
In this way, the Maid Hub platform gets established.
MANAGEMENT (INDIVIDUAL ROLE)
Mr. Satish Parimal, who has a good hold on man management, statutory compliance management, and day-to-day executional management, is taking care of the role of CEO.
Mrs. Viajya, who has good hands-on experience in client communication, grievance handling, and operations management, is taking care of the role of operations execution as an Operations Head.
We have an in-house team for HR management, strategy management, operations management, and statutory compliance management. We are hiring assignment-based professionals to take care of our accounting work, legal tasks, digital marketing tasks, and technology development work.
Market (competition)
According to Verified Market Research, the Indian Home Services market was valued at USD 10.29 billion in 2018 and is projected to reach USD 65.51 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 27.2% from 2019 to 2026. Around 50 million domestic staff are working as self-employers, not getting any institutional support or statutory benefits.
There are players from Urban Clap, Hire Right, Bookmybai, and local service providers who are working with home-based services. The majority of market competitors do placement work. No one is bothered about the training and development of unorganised sector manpower. Nobody cares about providing institutional support and statutory social security benefits to the large segment of society that remains underprivileged.
MaidHub has a unique business model where we give basic training to the service providers. offering long-term employment opportunities for the service providers. It also has provision to offer statutory social security benefits to the service providers who will be working on the company’s roll.
Mathematics
We have two types of revenue generation sources. Our major revenue is generated by the source of registration charges, which is collected from the clients. That is around one month’s salary of the provided service provider.
In addition, we are also charging an 8% service charge on the provided staff’s monthly salary. Clients are bearing this additional cost.
On our new platform, we are generating revenue from service charges and subscription charges.
Service charges will be 10% of the service cost, and subscription charges will vary from month to month, quarterly, six-monthly, and yearly.
We have served over 200 clients to date and provide employment opportunities to over 700 service providers.
By 2025, we hope to have served over one million clients and provided income opportunities to over 10,000 service providers.
