Entrepreneurs, investors and other ecosystem stakeholders have not seen the merit in this part of the country and have subsequently felt the need to migrate to establish themselves and their startups. The resultant brain drain has negatively affected the socio-economic canvas of eastern India as bright minds, especially from the elite educational institutes like IIMC, IITKGP, KIIT and XLRI continue to migrate and initiate their entrepreneurial journeys from anywhere other than east India.
The adjoining countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal are yet to catch up the entrepreneurial fervor though the universities in these countries are now a hotbed for ideas and innovations.
